At the heart of our company philosophy is a commitment to reliable and consistently high quality. We know that labels play a crucial role for industrial users in communicating important information and complying with regulations and safety standards. For more than 3 decades, we have specialized in flexographic and digital label printing, using state-of-the-art technologies, including 100% web inspection during the printing process, to meet industry standards and deliver labels tailored to your applications.
Innovation and technology
The ongoing development of framework conditions motivates us to continually pay attention to new and innovative ideas. RABE Etiketten not only invests in printing technology, but also in raw materials to ensure that you receive labels that meet your expectations. It goes without saying that we only use low-migration printing inks in accordance with the Nestlé Guidance Note on Packaging Inks and 100% FSC-certified adhesive materials.
But we go further. We are currently researching the following innovations in-house and/or in collaboration with the TU Chemnitz and the HTWK in Leipzig:
- We are currently building the world’s first pilot plant for recycling 100% mesh waste from label production. This innovation project is funded by the Sächsische Aufbaubank.
- We have printed the first paper-based printed electronic battery that can be recycled with conventional paper waste. This opens up completely new possibilities for innovative packaging and product traceability.
We have expanded our focus beyond labels to meet the new requirements of the packaging industry.
Flexible packaging in line with the circular economy
As the demand for paper-plastic composites in the packaging sector is constantly increasing, we, together with ROTI Verpackungsdruck GmbH, have recognized the need to offer the market the next generation of fully recyclable flexible packaging materials. We coat functional barrier papers in flexographic printing for flexible packaging – in order to be able to offer an economically attractive alternative to plastic.
Based on the ROTI HyperB™ papers, we offer you an authentic and sustainable upgrade of your existing plastic packaging with the following features:
- Water, oil and grease repellent
- Free from plastic and microplastics
- PFAS-free
- Fully recyclable and compostable at home
- FDA-certified and food-safe
- Heat-sealable and much more…
We live and love sustainability
We are committed to minimizing your and our environmental footprint by:
- offer the service of taking back and recycling 100 % of the carrier material produced by our customers.
- already cover 40 % of our requirements with our own renewable energies and will cover a total of 80 % by 2026.
- recycle 100 % of our own label waste by 2025.
- committing us to improve our environmental performance as part of the Environmental and Climate Alliance Saxony certification.
- support our customers who are faced with mandatory reporting requirements in accordance with ESG requirements.
- have electrified 50 % of our vehicle fleet.
- have created a wild garden for our bumblebee population behind the factory.
- grow seasonal organic vegetables and herbs at our plant for consumption by our employees.
